Alberta Minor Injury Cap Amount Announced for 2020
Every Year the Alberta Superintendent of Insurance announces an adjustment to the maximum recoverable amount, which can be claimed as damages for non-pecuniary loss for minor injuries resulted from an automobile accident in Alberta. This amount is also known as Minor Injury Cap because it caps the maximum recoverable amount for minor injury claims in Alberta.
The Alberta Superintendent of Insurance, Darren Hedley has announced maximum recoverable amount of $5,296.00, which can be claimed as damages for non-pecuniary loss for minor injuries resulted from an automobile accident in Alberta on or after January 1, 2020.
