Sponsor your other eligible relatives
Sponsoring a brother, sister, aunt or uncle is not as simple as sponsoring a spouse, common-law partner, conjugal partner or a dependent child. You must understand that a brother, sister, aunt or uncle can be sponsored only in very specific situations.
You may sponsor an orphaned brother, sister, nephew, niece or grandchild who is under 18 years of age and single. In addition to these conditions, there are many other conditions which must also be met by your orphaned brother, sister, nephew, niece or grandchild to become eligible to be sponsored by you.
You may be able to sponsor one relative of any age to Canada who is related to you by blood or adoption if you don’t have any living relative whom you could sponsor instead to Canada and you don’t have any relatives who is a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, registered Indian under the Indian Act. In addition to these conditions, there are many other conditions which you and the sponsored relative must meet for sponsorship to Canada.
If you are planning to sponsor a relative for permanent residence in Canada and wondering whether you are eligible to do that, please contact your own Canadian Immigration Lawyer Bikramjit Singh to schedule a consultation meeting to get step by step guide for this sponsorship program.
